Former Hugo Boss Facility
Cleveland, Ohio

The facility consisted of three (3) buildings that contained over 400,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space, including underground tunnels. One of the buildings was demolished and the remaining two (2) will be renovated for residential reuse. Partners completed asbestos surveys, asbestos abatement specifications, evaluated contractor bidding, and provided abatement oversight. Partners directed all asbestos related work on the project, which also included the management and abatement of lead-based paint.  Partners was instrumental in developing a strategy to manage the asbestos in order to reduce costs. In some instances, portions of the building were sealed to reduce the need for costly removal.  In other instances, Partners developed removal techniques and approaches that reduced costs. The project is also the subject of Ohio’s Voluntary Action Program (VAP) and one (1) Covenant-Not-To-Sue (CNS) has been issued for a portion of the property. This project was conducted from 2001 to 2005.
