Acquisition Due Diligence – Strategic Buyer

On behalf of a confidential multi-national manufacturing client, Partners’ employees provided environmental due diligence services for the proposed acquisition of a multi-site chemical manufacturing business, which comprised a 14 facility portfolio located both domestically and internationally. To support the transaction, we quickly mobilized an experienced international consulting team, with key individuals located in each country, to provide critical local expertise and language capabilities. We completed an assessment of material environmental liabilities, risks, and compliance issues, including associated cost estimating, and Phase II subsurface investigations at several of the properties. As a proposed stock transaction, we also investigated potential legacy liabilities associated with the business, including third-party waste disposal sites, former operating locations, historical company acquisitions, etc.)
